Here's some tips for getting the most out of your YARN PUFFY!

  • Put a few wound strands of yarn (i.e. ones that would take a lot of unraveling to get to) into YARN PUFFY'S mouth to secure to the skein, then secure the tail end of the yarn into his spit curl from the TOP (See photo!) If the yarn tail is coming from the bottom of the skein and has to cross over YARN PUFFY, it won't stay on as well.

  • When removing the yarn tail, try to pull the strand taut to avoid any snags (I've taken great care to quality check that each YARN PUFFY is snag resistant, but certain yarns snag easier than others)

  • Always use a pencil and SOFT eraser to write/erase any notes on YARN PUFFY. (rougher erasers won't erase as clean) But feel free to use a permanent ink pen if you don't have any intention to erase your notes!

  • While YARN PUFFY is pretty resilient, be gentle when erasing as the plastic can bend with rough use.

  • Works best on yarn skeins; spherical yarn balls (depending on the size) don't always work as well, but I'm working on it!

  • Store your unused YARN PUFFYS in the little baggie they came in to ensure they won't get bent up in bags/drawers/etc.
